I'm so glad my slow cooker! Most people think to use it in the winter to make delicious grilled meat but I actually use it in the summer. This allows me to make a delicious meal for a while my family was outside with my kids enjoy the sunny days. Plus, I don't have to stand over a hot stove.


Ingredients
  • Sweet Onion 1 cup cubed
  • 1 rib celery, chopped
  • 3 cloves chopped garlic
  • 1/4 cups water
  • 3 chicken breast without the skin about 1 1/2 to 2 pounds
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 green pepper diced
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • 1 8 oz package mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 10.5 ounces can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 8 ounces package cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp corn flour
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 1-ounce sheet Puff Pastry box 17.3 (2 sheets), thawed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water


Instructions
  • Mix onion, celery, garlic, and water together in a bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 5 minutes (stirring halfway through) until the onion is translucent.
  • Place chicken in bottom of slow cooker and sprinkle with seasoned salt. Add a mixture of onions, peppers, and mushrooms.
  • Chicken broth soup mixes together and then poured in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 3 hours.
  • Combine the cornstarch and water in a small dish and add to slow cooker creamy cheese and peas. Mix in and cook for 30 minutes, uncovered.
  • In the meantime, making puff pastry. Grease baking sheet is also in line with parchment paper. Unfold the pastry sheets and cut each into 4 squares. For each square, cut a thin strip of almost all the way through on each side. Wet the dough with your fingers and then pulling each thin strips adjacent to the tip and lightly press it down. Continue with each square.
  • Combine egg and water and then lightly brush the square with it.
  • Bake for approximately 12-15 minutes at 400 degrees until puffed and golden.
  • Shred the chicken (I just busted in the slow cooker but you can delete and add back). Spoon the chicken mixture on top of each puff pastry and serve.


The chicken tastes amazing when properly cooked in a slow cooker. The words of the righteous. The chicken meat was not difficult so it doesn't require a lot of time to Cook if not, it will become dry. When you cook the chicken in the slow cooker, it takes only 3-4 low hours and then you've got a perfectly cooked, moist and tender chicken which destroyed the beautiful.

Because chickens don't need long in a slow cooker, you going to precook the onions and celery in the microwave for 5 minutes to make sure they are nice and soft at the end of cooking. Then just toss all vegetables, chicken, cream of chicken soup, and broth into the slow cooker and allow to cook. After 3 hours, you will mix in frozen peas, cream cheese, and cornmeal with water and let Cook for 30 minutes on high without the lid. This allows the sauce to thicken. In the end, you just shred the chicken and serve over puff pastry, noodles, rice ... Enjoy!
