Garlic rice is a dish found in Asian countries. I think it is very common in the Philippines. This is my version of everyday-Yes it's buttery and garlicky, but not so outrageous. Definitely feel free to garlic and butter to your taste, but I would suggest trying a basic recipe first then adjust to your taste. A little extra butter can be stirred in at the end to your taste.

Slice the garlic thinly then cooking it until golden and crunchy optional but honestly, I think it is the crowning glory of this rice. Do not add a strong garlic flavor, it's more about adding crunch with sweet garlic. Keep the slices whole, as pictured, or crumble and scatter the rice. Or for a shortcut, you can use the crispy fried onions or garlic is sold in jars at Asian stores and some supermarkets. They were so good, I always have a bottle on hand-I use them in salads, soups, imagine the possibilities of what you can sprinkle! I even use it on pasta!
